Getting started with SHALALA
Begin with the fit assessment or an optional free 15-minute introduction. We review your business, transaction volume, accounts and records before confirming a proposed scope and monthly fee in writing. If your books are behind, catch-up work is assessed and quoted separately.
After your agreement is signed and the initial invoice is paid, we guide you through secure onboarding and QuickBooks Online accountant access. You keep your own subscription and your existing accountant; never share your QuickBooks password.
What happens each month?
- Connect. Provide secure QuickBooks Online accountant access.
- Manage. SHALALA manages routine bookkeeping and identifies exceptions that need attention.
- Clarify. Questions are sent in writing only when information is required.
- Review. Exceptions, reconciliations and completed bookkeeping receive bookkeeping review.
- Close. Monthly books and system-generated reports are completed according to the service timetable.
What you provide
Supply the agreed statements and supporting documents through the secure process, and answer questions about transactions when needed. We agree the service timetable in writing; missing records, access or answers can affect completion. Routine bookkeeping questions are included, and Growth and Established include an optional 15-minute bookkeeping check-in each quarter.
Working alongside your accountant
At year end, organized bookkeeping records and QBO-generated reports are available for your existing accountant. Your accountant continues handling tax returns, year-end accounting and advice.

Tax return preparation, GST/HST filing, payroll processing and tax advice are outside the bookkeeping service. Your accountant or another specialist can help with those needs.
