You maintain and pay for your own QuickBooks Online subscription. It is separate from SHALALA’s monthly fee. SHALALA works in your QBO file through accountant access, so you retain your records and continuity.

Growth and Established include one scheduled 15-minute bookkeeping check-in each quarter. We review your records and bookkeeping questions within the agreed service scope; tax advice and broader consulting are not included.
Established also accommodates more active customer invoice and payment recording, vendor bill and payment recording, payroll journal entries from client-supplied payroll-provider reports and additional bookkeeping exceptions within the agreed scope.
Exceptions, reconciliations and unusual transactions are reviewed before the bookkeeping period is completed.
GST/HST recording and tracking are included where applicable. GST/HST return preparation and filing, income tax returns, tax advice and payroll processing are outside the bookkeeping service. Your accountant can continue handling tax and year-end work. Read the full service scope →
Transaction volume and account count both matter. The fit assessment helps SHALALA confirm the appropriate plan and agreed scope in writing before work begins.
Pricing assumes complete and timely information. If your books are fundamentally workable but behind, Catch-Up Bookkeeping may be the right starting point before recurring service begins. Files requiring major historical reconstruction or unresolved accounting or tax issues fall outside SHALALA’s bookkeeping scope.

Priority month-end close gives your monthly bookkeeping an earlier agreed completion target. The date and availability are confirmed in writing and depend on receiving complete records and answers on time.
All prices in Canadian dollars. Regular written bookkeeping questions are included in your plan. Explore website design and enquire about a new site or redesign, starting at CAD $999. Final scope and fee are agreed in writing.

New small-business websites and redesigns start at CAD $999. The starting package covers up to three pages, mobile-friendly design, one enquiry form, basic page titles and descriptions, and one revision round using content you provide. Larger or more involved projects are quoted to scope. Website design is separate from bookkeeping; hosting, domain registration and ongoing maintenance are not included.

What counts as a transaction?
One QBO financial record counts once. Invoices and their payments count separately; bank-feed matches and duplicate imports do not count again. Transfers between your own accounts count as two account entries. See the full counting policy and example.
Can I cancel monthly bookkeeping?
Yes. Our standard service is month-to-month with no minimum term or cancellation fee. Email us before the next service period begins; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period. See final fees, refunds and handoff details. Existing agreements retain their agreed terms.
Can I keep my accountant?
Yes. SHALALA manages the agreed bookkeeping in your QBO file. Your accountant continues handling tax, year-end accounting and advice.
What happens at year end?
SHALALA provides organized, reconciled bookkeeping records and QBO-generated reports for your accountant. Tax returns and accounting advice remain with your accountant.
What happens after the assessment?
If the business fits, SHALALA confirms scope and the engagement agreement in writing. After the agreement is signed and the initial invoice is paid, secure onboarding begins. No sales call is required.
